Constantina Cross
Words: 430 Tag: Lezard Note: --- | “So, you think Sin does not come back because there’s sin in the world? You think the flaw is simply the teachings written down by man, because he wished to for certain things and not others? But was it not Lady Yunalesca who first saved this world from Sin and spread the teachings of Yevon?” Constantina shook her head; he had ideas in his head just like she had her own. While she knew she was right, the pink haired woman wasn’t looking to change his ideas. It wasn’t her place to make him see the truth she found. Pushing herself off the wall, she took a few steps towards him. “You can’t complete your pilgrimage as you are, but if you truly feel you’re right, you can do it. I am not truly strong enough to accomplish my goals, but one day I will be…” And that day, she wouldn’t need others to stand beside her. She would go purge this world and set it straight for when Sin was cleansed and she would ensure it never came back. Death would no longer be an acceptable ending to the lives of loved ones because it was simply a part of this endless cycle. Constantina would make the Crusades useless so those men and woman could stay with their families. She would wipe the Al Bhed so their atrocities wouldn’t damn the world and bring back Sin. The woman had a long plan that required her to be all-powerful to succeed otherwise others would strike her down from the actions she wished to commit. That was her solution; one she made sure to keep to herself. “You should rest up. I will not defer you from your path, but tonight the only paths you have are this bed or the one at the temple. Again, the choice is yours to make.” He seemed to agree to stay and settled back down in bed. The pink haired woman nodded and walked to the door. For a moment, she paused and lingered for a second. “In all honesty, I do respect your determination. For the sake of the world, I hope you are correct and this next Calm is an eternal one. Good night.” She hadn’t bothered to look back at him; his reaction to her words didn’t matter. If he or some other Summoner could bring about a Calm that lasted for ages, then she would happily have dedicated her life to gaining power in vain. If he was wrong, she would bring an end to this cycle and hoped for it not to create a new one. |
