ABNORMALITIES
NOTICE: all status abnormalities are semi-permanent. Meaning they do not just go away after so many posts. An ally must heal your ailment, or you must purchase an item from the item shop.
How do Status Abnormalities work? That's simple, in each "unsafe zone" all around Spira there are Fiends. Some of these Fiends possess the ability to inflict these ailments. When traveling through these areas, a member should always remember to carry the correct items with them. A staff member will look through threads in the "unsafe zones" once a day and may decide to send a group of fiends to attack your character or characters. A staff member will be playing those fiends, if a fiend successfully lands an attack on someone that would cause a status abnormality, that character will be effected. No exceptions. Note that if a thread is interrupted with a battle it means that each character actively fighting in the battle will be granted twenty extra experience points.
petrify When a character has the status abnormality petrify cast onto him that character can move, however he cannot attack or cast spells. That character will appear greyish in skin tone. It is cured with a soft, or Esuna. |
poison Poison effects your character mush like a sickness would. You feel fatigued and unable to keep anything down. You may become dehydrated and, as the poison progresses, your character would be pained by simple movements. Eventually they would become bedridden. Eventually it will cause death. It can be cured with an antidote. |
silence A silenced character will not be able to cast magics until the ailment is healed. It is cured with an Echo Screen. |
blind When a characted is inflicted with a blinding attack he will not go completely blind at first. A blinded character loses his sight slowly, over time. Upon infliction the character's vision will be extremely blurred, it will almost be impossible to land a hit on an evasive foe. Blind is cured with Eye Drops. |
confuse A confused character will not be able to think clearly and may become agitated. He may even strike his allies in his confused, angered state. Confusion is the only status abnormality that will go away after a time. It will go away after 3 posts, or an ally can cast esuna on your character. |
zombie a character with the status ailment zombie will die quickly if not healed within 3 days. Zombified characters cannot be healed, doing so will harm them, not help them. This is cured by obtaining a vial of Holy Water. |
