It was a bright and early morning. The sun had finally rose very high at the break of dawn. It seemed to be that of which was ten o'clock. Stretching her arms out the young girl known as Sayla would begin to get her day ready. Coming out of a Hut that was an Inn residing within the land of Kilik she would begin to take a look around. In search of the bath springs she would head to the back to locate it and had begun to take her soothing bath. After taking her bath which was forty minutes she would stand up and make haste back to her Hut. Looking for her accessories she would begin to comb her hair, dry herself off, and finally she would begin to place on her clothing for today.
Her clothing for today consisted of a white kimono that stopped at the length of her mid-thigh, but her kimono would have slits on the bicep portion revealing skin upon her arm, the next she would place on her monk slide on shoes, and would finally finish placing her hair into a high ponytail as her hair would fall into the mid-section of her back. Sayla would begin to walk toward the outside of her hut. Looking around she was ready for the day, she had to train so that she would be ready to go into the next temple, but she needed to get her abilities more powerful for the day when she needed to fight Sin...and her final aeon.
Looking around she would watch the many citizens wander through the village itself as she would smile at each person that would pass on by. Looking she would begin to walk in search of someone who could have possibly seen her brother, Lucifer. Where ever he was he was probably off doing something else, but she did not mind. It was a good time for her to get some alone time and think about what she needed to do first....

The winter's cold But we was chose to rise above the darkened skies And fight against what lied beneath My feet are firmly on the ground Prepare my soul and grit my teeth Fight or flight is going down | The waters of Kilika were ideal for intense training regimens when dealing with overall physical condition and endurance. The Blitzball-player spent many hours, mornings, evenings, nights, and days honing his water-skills to its current level; and this morning was no different for the local superstar. "Not bad..." He whispered to himself -- his body drifting with the gentle current of the waves. "How long has it been? Three, four days?" Almond hues drifted off to the side as peripherals caught sight of fishing vessels leaving the docks for the day. The fishermen aboard these little vessels waved at the prodigy as they passed. "Ey', yooooo!" He exclaimed in a thunderous greeting returning the waves with waves of his own. Speaking of fish, he has yet to eat yet. He was famished; extremely famished. He made it back to the docks in no time at all. Removing his massive frame from the water, Blitz stood tall and proud as he gathered his belongings. Slipping his arms through the twin holes of his black jacket, the gigantic concealed blade was placed alongside his back for easy access if things get hostile. Blitz wasted no time blending in with the locals. He followed the foot-traffic and even conversed with fans. Though, 'blending' in was something he just couldn't do. He stood at Ronso heights, had darker skin, exotic eyes, and ivory hair. Not to mention the seven-foot sword strapped to his back. Oh well; he just has to deal with the hand that has been dealt to him. |

Not too far away, Lucifer himself was observing a group of children playing with what he believed was a Blitzball. A large rubber ball a bit bigger than his own head with these sort of 'lumps' all around it. He'd often wondered what the sport was like, but never had an opportunity to ever witness it himself. He'd sit there in a squatting position, watching as the kids would bounce the ball on the side of their feet, some balancing it on their heads before kicking it somewhere and chasing after with the others. Was this how Blitzball was played? No, something told him that this was far from the real deal. There was still plenty of things missing to make it feel like real Blitzball. However, in the meantime, he would find himself distracted by a tap on his shoulder, one of the elderly women of the village asking for his assistance in carrying some heavy boxes of fruits and other assorted foods. He had time, so it wasn't too big of an issue.
"Oh, how sweet of you to help me, dear. You see, I just don't have the youthful strength like I used to in my old age." Lucifer would share a kind smile before moving to pick up the boxes for her. "It's no trouble at all, ma'am.", he would say, taking up not one, not two, not three, but four of the boxes in his arms, two in each as the elder woman seemed rather impressed. He would brush it off with a sign of modesty, not really wanting to attract such praise or attention. It was just a simple task in his mind, and one that he was willing to help out with until it was time to leave. As they walked along the docks, they would hold small, but enjoyable conversation, speaking of the history behind Kilika and its residents. He would inquire about the Kilika Temple housing the Fayth of the Aeon known as Ifrit, rather intrigued of the lore behind it. In his passing, he would take note of a taller man with snowy-white hair carrying a very large sword on his back. He wasn't entirely sure why, but he had a slightly uneasy feeling as he passed by him. Perhaps something to do with a seven foot sword strapped to a random passer-by's back? It's not exactly something you see every day after all.
For the time being, he would ignore it, finally coming to a stop at a little hut the elder woman apparently used for selling goods. She would give Lucifer her thanks and offer him payment, in which he politely refused. For the time being, he had to wonder where his sister Sayla had managed to wander off to. No matter what, she always seemed to escape his sights, leaving him to play hide and seek for her for Yevon knows how long.

Looking around she would wander on the seaboard in search of not for her brother, but for herself. She needed time to think. Was being a Summoner something she truly needed to do? What was the purpose of doing this? Fighting Sin was not going to bring back her mother or father, it wasn't going to save her brother from being her final aeon in turns of killing her, and it definitely wasn't going to help stop her destiny. Sayla didn't know what to do at this time, was she going to defy fate? Fate, that is the key in all of this. Even though Sin was going to be stopped there was nothing else she could do, no, there wasn't. Many Summoners delay their actions and some runaway from it, but what can Sayla do? There is nothing she can do, she wasn't taught to run away nor was she taught to falter time...
Sayla would look at the sea watching as her hair blew among the shore. She was qite sad, she was very sad...so she would sing the song...of hope:
Long ago, when our eyes used to shine, And I was yours, and you were mine
Once I told you why the sun sets red I know that I'll never forget
Now you're gone, but the sun still sets in the sky So at dusk, I will always think of you
Do you think we could ever turn back time someday? You and me, will we ever be the same?
Once upon a time, in my dreams I reached for you, and you reached for me
Waking up is the hardest thing to do because in my dreams, I have you
Since you're gone, and the sun still sets in the sky At dusk, I will always think of you
Placing her hand near her heart she would begin to slowly create a smile upon her face as she would shed a single tear, but as she would slowly close her eyes she would look up at the sky feeling the air breeze through her hair. Turning around she would begin to leave her position heading back to the village. As she headed back she would see fair dark and tall handsome man with a large sword upon his back. As he would pass by she would look at the man feeling as though she had seen him somewhere before, but she didn't know where. Of course it obviously wasn't Blitzball that's for sure. Heading toward the man she would begin to make her way following behind.
As she followed the man she would scream, "Excuse me! Excuse me, hey! Large Sword guy!" Running toward the man she would come to a halt trying to catch her breath as she was quite tired from chasing him. Standing still she would point at the man if he were to stop, "Why do you have that large sword upon your back?!" She said shouting. The reason for why she questioned him was because the sword was quite large and he did not seem to be of this place, could he have been a wanderer passing by...a dangerous wanderer at that?

The winter's cold But we was chose to rise above the darkened skies And fight against what lied beneath My feet are firmly on the ground Prepare my soul and grit my teeth Fight or flight is going down | Buck teeth tore into a steamy flounder on a twig. "Oi! Shit! Hot! Hot!" The vertically gifted human exclaimed; jaws still chewing away despite the cries of his now burning taste-buds. "This is amazing, pops!" The Superstar announced with absolutely little to no regard for proper table manners. "Keep em' comin', alright?!" He stood next to the fish vendor and consumed fish after fish. But something caught his attention; the voice of another individual..."Eh?" Almond eyes fixated upon the shorter female as Blitz found himself pausing mid-bite. "I've been called alotta' things, girl. But 'very large sword guy' is a new one." He grinned and waved the half eaten fish around as if it was some kind of magical wand. "My sword...?" Confusion ensued after the question. The Star shook his head, took another barbaric bite out of the fish, and cackled as if he was some crazed hyena. "Monsters, ya' know? We're by the water, there are children around, and the kiddos love playing in the water, get it? So that makes em' pretty susceptible to attacks, yeah?" He shrugged and took yet another monstrous bite. "Don't even get me started on Sin." One more bite, "Plus the sword is a keepsake of mine. One of those 'extensions of my soul' or some corny shit like that." He chuckled and tossed what remained of the fish back on the vendors stand. He crossed his massive arms up against his chiseled chest and eyed the female up and down one swift time. "Why? You want to see it?"The suggestive nature of his words were more than apparent..."The sword, that is." |

It seemed like everywhere he went, there was no sign of Sayla to be found. Lucifer would rub the back of his head while letting out a sigh of annoyance, murmuring to himself in Al Bhed, "Jeez, every time, EVERY TIME I take my eyes off of her, it's like she up and vanishes..." Oh well. Such was the fate of having a twin sibling to look after. Not that Lucifer would ever actually complain about it. It was just a tad obnoxious at times. As he walked onward, the distinct smell of grilled fish met his nose, the idea of perhaps getting something to eat for himself and Sayla not sounding too bad.
Oddly enough, with these thoughts in mind, he would hear a familiar voice accompanied by another. It sounded like his sister was conversing with one of the locals nearby. He would follow the sound of his sister's voice, stopping momentarily to find her with that large man he had passed by earlier on. The one with the enormous sword, who was conversing with her with a loud, laughing out loudly as he barbarically devoured several grilled fish. The mere sight was almost enough to make Lucifer's eye twitch in disgust, but he would hold it back as he approached from behind, tapping Sayla's shoulder as he made himself known. "Oy. You're really hard to keep track of sometimes, you know?", he would say, hands crossing over his chest as he furrowed his brows a bit while looking to Sayla for a response. Once he would get his answer though, his attention was diverted to the large, barrel-chested man before them, giving him a quick once over up and down. "Who's this?", he would inquire, still debating on whether or not this man was friendly, or potentially a nuisance. Everything about him seemed to rub Lucifer the wrong way at first glance.
However, it wouldn't really be fair to place such judgement upon someone he had just met, so for the time being, he would wait and see what happened.

But do I escape, But do I escape from a place that captures all of our souls, No you're not a flower of evil to me
This guy was really huge compared to her size. He almost looked like a tall monster, it was shocking that no one was afraid of this giant sword carrying guy. The guy carried the sword around because he though he'd be fighting monsters within a village though? It was really weird to say, but Sayla couldn't judge. She would then blush for a moment when the guy spoke of "seeing" something? She would blush very hard and would shout, "It seems as though you have a death wish!" She said charging a ruin spell in the palm of her hand as she would hold a ball of light for a moment, but when she saw her brother she would disable her attack for the time being.
"Huh? Onii-san," she said as she would blink for a moment, but looking at the tall man for a second she would look as her brother had asked the question as to who he was. She had not a clue as to who he exactly was as he just looked suspicious with that sword on his back. The design of the sword and its shape was quite very much for a skilled knight or warrior the least to say. Could he have been a knight of some sort? The Knight, yes...thinking back on it she had a dream one night about coming into contact with a knight not to soon. Could he have been the man in the cloak of some sort within her dream?
Thinking about it he could have been an asset to her group, but having her brother already as one of her knight's could been quite troubling. Not in a negative way, but would her brother agree to such an idea? He had the strength, body, and "probably" the mind for it. He seemed like a fairly cool headed guy, but could he truly have the abilities or skills to what it take into being a Guardian? Of course it'd be wise to add him to the group because then her final summoning could possibly be this guy instead of her brother, it all seemed to add up very well indeed.
Turning to face her brother she would speak, "He's just some guy I just met, I wanted to question him about his blade," she explained. Turning to the black guy though, "I have no idea who he is though, care to tell me your name Mr.Swordsman?" She asked.
